Peter McGraw is a bachelor, behavioral economist and business school professor at the University of Colorado Boulder. He began his career studying emotions, judgment and choice before becoming a global expert in the science of humor. He founded the Humor Research Lab (HuRL), codeveloped the Benign Violation Theory, coauthored The Humor Code and authored Shtick to Business. In his work exploring what it means to live a remarkable life as a single person, McGraw hosts the Solo podcast and authored Solo: Building a Remarkable Life of Your Own. He is an outspoken advocate for singles, challenging outdated assumptions about romance, marriage and fulfillment in a world built for two. His talks, media appearances and community events like the Solo Salon have helped redefine single living as an empowered lifestyle. He also advises businesses on how to better serve the growing, overlooked singles market through his Single Insights research project.
