TEDxUStreetSalon Presents: Securing the Future of Women – A Call to Action
As the political and cultural landscape continues to shift, so too does the fight for women’s rights. In this pivotal moment in history, TEDxUStreetSalon is launching a powerful series of TEDx events focused on Securing the Future of Women. This series will serve as a platform for bold, forward-thinking ideas aimed at protecting and advancing the rights of women—now and for generations to come.
Amid recent changes in the current U.S. administration, we have seen a disturbing rollback in policies that directly impact women’s lives and futures. From threats to reproductive rights and barriers to equitable education, to the persistent underrepresentation of women in leadership, we are witnessing a dangerous regression in the progress we’ve worked so hard to achieve. These setbacks disproportionately affect women of color, low-income communities, and other historically marginalized groups.
This TEDx series will explore:
- The systemic and policy-driven challenges women face today
- How political shifts threaten the hard-won rights of women across sectors
- Strategies for protecting bodily autonomy, increasing access to education, and amplifying women's voices in leadership
We are currently calling for pitches from changemakers, thinkers, and advocates with innovative ideas for:
- Advancing gender equity in education
- Defending and restoring reproductive freedom
- Redefining leadership and creating pathways for women to lead
- Mobilizing communities to influence policy and cultural change
We want actionable, bold, and visionary ideas that inspire advocacy, mobilize allies, and ignite movements. Whether rooted in personal experience, research, or activism, your idea could be the spark that drives real change.
The future of women is under threat—but it’s also full of possibility.
Join us in building a stage for voices that refuse to be silenced. Let’s turn advocacy into action and ideas into impact.
💡 Pitch your talk and help us secure a future where all women can thrive.
