In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Architect and Blogger
Aeshvarya Thakur is an architect, writer, and adventurer with a deep love for social history and public awareness. She has a strong passion for heritage conservation, preserving historical sites, and promoting public awareness through podcasts and writing. Her works on topics such as art, urbanism, culture, heritage, Sufism, and social history are both engaging and thought-provoking. She has been a regular columnist for Prabhat Khabar newspaper and has contributed feature articles and stories to many progressive literary magazines, including Sadaneera, Prerna Anshu, Kshitij ke Paar, Architecture Live, Hastakshep, and others. Currently, she writes a weekly column, Virasatnama (on heritage), for Bole Bharat News Portal.

Anu Singh Choudhary

Script Writer and Filmmaker
Anu Singh Choudhary, a celebrated author in Hindi, is one of the few truly bilingual and multimedium writers. Her years as a documentary filmmaker and award-winning journalist make her stories an authentic chronicle of the zeitgeist. Her diverse experience in storytelling, publishing and communications consulting took shape at multiple platforms such as NDTV, Save the Children, Gaon Connection, Yatra Books, Harper Collins India and Amazon-Westland. As a Screenwriter, Anu has adapted two bestselling novels for screen for a leading digital platform, and is currently writing her third series due for an early 2020 release.

She has led nationwide online safety programs such as Child online safety, Fake News, Digital Parenting, and social media for Social Change. Arnika's ability to express through words, visuals, and dialogues makes her a passionate trainer, leading training initiatives across various sectors. She is committed to leveraging technology for social change and continuously develops innovative ideas to drive impact.

Dr. Ananya Vajpeyi

Associate Professor at CSDS, New Delhi, She is a scholar and writer working at the intersection of intellectual history, political theory, and critical philology.
Dr. Ananya Vajpeyi completed her Ph.D. at the University of Chicago. She is a scholar and writer working at the intersection of intellectual history, political theory, and critical philology. She is currently completing a book about the modern life of Sanskrit for W.W. Norton. An anthology of her essays on cities is forthcoming from Women Unlimited. She is a Research Consultant with the Nilgiri Archaeological Project at the University of Ghent, Belgium; Editor of AROOP (Journal of the Raza Foundation) from 2019 to 2024; and a Visiting Professor at Ashoka University, where she teaches a Foundation Course on Great Books. She writes extensively for newspapers and magazines in India and internationally on arts, culture, gender, politics, and ideas. In addition to her intellectual contributions, she frequently engages in public education by writing articles for newspapers. Through her scholarship, she represents feminist contributions to knowledge and discourse in India and abroad.

Jyoti Nisha

Scholar and Filmmaker
Jyoti Nisha is a filmmaker, producer, academician, and writer, renowned for pioneering the groundbreaking theory of Bahujan Spectatorship, which delves into the consumption and spectatorship of popular cinema, dissecting its representation of caste, gender and sexuality by India’s marginalized population. Her work centers on creating a distinctive oppositional sociopolitical Bahujan aesthetics deeply rooted in Bahujan lived experiences, culture, history, movements, and ideology, championed by Bahujan filmmakers. She received her education in journalism from IIMC, Delhi, screenwriting from FTII, Pune & and Media and Cultural Studies from TISS, Mumbai. Nisha’s journey includes serving as a Director’s Assistant to Neeraj Ghaywan’s film, Geeli Pucchi.

Meghna Bal

Lawer and Tech Policy Resercher
Meghna Bal is a lawyer with deep experience in media and emerging technology. Previously, she worked on legal and policy strategy at The Walt Disney Company. Before Disney, she established and led the India office for Consensys, the world’s largest blockchain technology company. She is actively engaged in policy research and advocacy in the field of IT and blockchain technology. Her current research interests include regulatory design in competition, telecommunications and broadcasting, copyrights, blockchain, and artificial intelligence. She often writes articles for reputed journals. Along with her legal services and research, she is also concerned about animal rights and women's justice.
