Theme: The Unspoken: Thriving in Contradiction

This event occurred on
March 13, 2025
Johannesburg, Gauteng
South Africa

The TEDxAfricanLeadershipAcademy 2025 theme, “The Unspoken: Thriving in Contraction,” is an invitation for the exploration of the often overlooked dimensions of human experience, where seemingly incompatible ideas coexist and shape our world. It speaks to the hidden narratives and unaddressed questions that influence our lives—topics we may shy away from but that hold the potential to transform our perspectives and communities. With "The Unspoken," we envision a platform where ideas around reimagining justice, redefining education, and rethinking leadership are given a voice, uncovering ways for individuals and groups to flourish amidst contradiction. By examining these intersections, we encourage a deeper understanding of how diverse approaches and inclusive perspectives can not only coexist but also thrive together, creating boundless possibilities.
