Vyshnavi Rayapati
Student at Leander High School
Vyshnavi Rayapati is a sophomore at Leander High School and a passionate advocate for gender equity in STEM. As a dedicated student and emerging thought leader, she believes that failure is not a setback but a stepping stone—especially in the fight for feminist progress.
In her TEDx talk, "Feminism Needs Failure," Vyshnavi explores the vital role of failure in the learning process and how embracing setbacks can strengthen the presence of women in historically male-dominated fields like STEM. By challenging perfectionism and normalizing failure, she argues that we can cultivate resilience, innovation, and long-term success for women in all industries.
With a commitment to breaking barriers and reshaping narratives, Vyshnavi aims to inspire others to redefine failure—not as an obstacle, but as an opportunity for growth and empowerment.
