Rocklin High School is proud to host its very first TEDx youth event! This event aims to highlight speakers from our community, while providing middle school and high school students with notes of inspiration for their careers, college, and their futures in a changing time.

Allison Hyatt

Lawyer

Allison Hyatt has been a litigator for more than 20 years representing clients throughout California in a wide range of employment and complex business disputes. Her practice focuses on defending employers, in addition to individual managers and executives, facing lawsuits involving claims of employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, defamation, breach of contract, wage and hour violations, and wrongful termination.

Daniel Mendoza

Educator + Artist

An early childhood educator, advocate, and working artist with over a decade of experience creating inclusive learning environments, who is passionate about integrating artistic expression into education, creating meaningful experiences for both teachers and students. Specializes in professional development for educators, leading engaging workshops, coaching, and presentations. He also loves to run, play golf, and spend time with his family. He presents to educators on various topics within Early Childhood Education and has had the opportunity to present all across the state and country.

David Bartley

International Mental Health Storyteller and Trainer

A suicide attempt survivor who continues on a sacred journey away from mental "hellness" and into the experience of mental wellness. He advocates the shifting of the idea of "suicide prevention" to "life preservation", and changing that mindset He enjoys sharing stories, and has given 2 TED talks in addition to 900 other global presentations to a wide range of audiences. He enjoys spending time with his family in his free time and photography.

Guru Yalakanti

Student

A Computer Engineering student at Cal Poly SLO with a passion for computer science, whether cybersecurity, embedded systems, or computer networking, as well as an enjoyment for snowboarding.

JT Remolona

Student

A first year student at Cal Poly SLO who majors in mechanical engineering. He loves to play soccer, ski, and go on hikes in his spare time and enjoys expressive the culture of his filipino background.

Mason Lew

Student

A college student majoring in Human Biology at UCSD, with an aspiration for the medical path and a passion for medicine and anything STEM related. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, going on short hikes, and gaming.
