Chengen Zhou
I am currently 15 and studying in Grade 9. My favorite food is anything Cantonese, they are absolutely delicious and come in a huge variety. In terms of hobbies, I obviously enjoy playing video games, but I also love playing the piano, so much so in fact that I am part of the school’s Musical Band and Symphony Orchestra. My favorite subject is history, which is unfortunate since we don’t have that anymore all the way until IB History (sad face). I absolutely adore cats, dogs, capybaras, anything that is fluffy and cute, though I don’t have a pet of my own (I wish I did though). And yeah, that’s it. Have a good day!

I'm Kerwin, a Grade 10 student who breathes through exam papers. Over the past three months, I've upgraded AI from a "chemistry formula parrot" to my 24/7 Socratic tutor – though it now randomly asks, "Does photosynthesis need Wi-Fi?" Today, I'll reveal how to hack AI into your study through these methods: role-playing teachers, kindergarten lectures, and targeted paper testing. Ready to unlock your brain's cheat code? Let's reboot learning!
Franco Dong
I'm from Class Hazel, Grade 6, and I'm a total bookworm—especially when it comes to fantasy novels! I often lose myself in the worlds of Percy Jackson and A Song of Ice and Fire, which feels even more thrilling than eating my favorite chocolate. Those mind-blowing stories never fail to ignite my imagination. But I’m not just about books—I’m always on the move! I play lively tunes on my flute, and even cooler, I’m a skilled drone pilot, sending it soaring through the sky. The bird’s-eye view is absolutely amazing!
Hanqi Xu
My name is Angela Xu and I am from NACIS 6Willow. I am really looking forward to attend this TEDx event. First of all, my interests are mostly related to academics and arts, which includes public speaking, debate, drama and music. These are all hobbies that I actively engage in. Among them, I especially passionate about public speaking. Being able to share my experiences and perspectives on an open platform excites and delights me. On the other hand, I also enjoy the English language as a subject, as it embodies and conveys the culture of English-speaking countries and regions. This is also one of the reasons why I chose to take part in this event. So this is my self introduction, thank you.
Huangsinuo Li
As a science student with a plethora of hobbies, my life is so fulfilling that I can “do breakdancing while shooting a basketball, simultaneously lift one foot juggling a football, and even spare a hand to play some music or solve a math problem.” Since childhood, I have been passionate about learning and exploring, and I have traveled to many places. But now, I have set my sights on space. What actions will I take to pursue my dreams? Let me share my story with everyone on the stage!
Lehan Wang
Hello, I'm Emily Wang from Grade 10, a health and nutrition enthusiast who make myself an "experiment in human nutrition". In this speech, I'm going to present to you my experiments and my feelings from them. How to make a happy and ordinary life coexist with good health?
What this journey of experiments has taught me is that we can take the word "healthy" off the scale and turn it into a magical elf, hiding it in the beat of the headphones on morning jog, in the extra half-scoop of seasonal veggies the cafeteria lady gives me, and in the whisper I have with myself every time I make a choice.
Are you all ready to hear about the life ticks I've picked up over the years of amazing experiments that are more noteworthy than calorie numbers? Are you ready to unwrap this special experiment report with me?
Peiyang Wang
Hi everyone, I’m Peiyang, grade 10 student at NACIS. You can find me in the library, quietly immersed in a novel. The basketball court is where I can learn new skills and express my passion for sports. In front of a piano playing my sorrows or my love is what you can hear. In the depths of woods and mountains, a boy sits on the zenith of a mountain, secreting his nostalgia for subsequent memories. However, if you really pay attention, you might even find me in the school cafeteria, enjoying the provisional satisfactions of a food critic.
Qiuyi Hu
I’m a debater, photographer, and someone deeply passionate about natural disaster prevention. If you describe me like "dynamic", "outgoing", and "creative", you’d be absolutely right. I thrive on connection, communication, and the exchange of ideas, which is why I’m constantly engaging with people from all walks of life.As a debater, I’ve honed my ability to think critically, argue persuasively, and see issues from multiple perspectives. Debate has taught me the power of words and the importance of listening, skills I now use to coach others and help them find their voices. I also teach oral English to primary school children, which is incredibly fulfilling. Watching young minds grow in confidence as they learn to express themselves is one of the most rewarding parts of my life.
Qiwei Yan
My life motto is science is the rule, and rules need developing. My MBTI is ESFP, as a ‘Performer’, I’m good in presenting my opinion to the audiences. The subjects that I love are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Music. I like to play clarinet and joined in professional teenage orchestras before. Although I am an E-person right now, I was, awkwardly, really shy in the period I’m in elementary school. Now, I’ve evolved myself into a better student and stored with eternal enthusiasm. I’m glad that I’ve got luckily selected into the last round of the TEDx event, and I surely will try my best in my final test to this journey.

I am a person with a high awareness in the realms of spirituality, emotions, and cognition. I enjoy the peace brought by the Chinese Spirit of Zen, which enables me to resonate with nature and the universe, and to find the powerful force of wisdom within me. My fascination with philosophical questions and my rich thoughts have shaped me into a spiritual seeker. I constantly strive for self-improvement and try to transform myself into an energetic, spiritually affluent lifelong learner. I like exploring the world and enjoy the process of discovering new things. Experiencing different emotions and flavors of life has opened the doors of my mind, made my thoughts vibrant and colorful. Moreover, my rational thinking grants me the ability to transcend emotions, allowing me to analytically dissect the essence of things and judge them from different perspectives, uncovering their positive and negative sides, their advantages and disadvantages, and experiencing the beauty balance in the universe. My ability of compassion and dedication allows me to understand the power of 'helping' and 'giving.' It is my pleasure to spread kindness and wisdom. This is also the reason that I can stand on this stage and share my thoughts with you.

My name is Kaixin, and I'm 8 years old. I'm a confident and curious girl who believes that anything is possible if you keep learning and exploring. My passion and enthusiasm for travelling has inspired me to learn five languages. I love learning new ways to communicate with people from all over the world and I've been lucky to visit many interesting places. I also love to paint because it lets me bring my imagination to life with colors. When I'm not painting, you'll probably find me playing the Guzheng, a beautiful traditional Chinese instrument. The music I create makes me feel connected to my culture and history. My favorite subject in school is science because I love discovering how the world works. Whether it's learning about space, nature, or cool experiments, science always excites me.
Youting Huang
I'm Timmy Huang from G2 Aspen. Ever since I was a child, I've been curious about the world of technology, having a passion for the universe, love robotics, and dream of about becoming an astronaut or a scientist. Last summer,I was so fascinated by the AI course that I practiced with such dedication that I even forgot to have lunch! In my daily life, I also have a wide range of interests, and it's probably most appropriate to describe me as a combination of being active and quiet. I love reading and playing chess, but I also really enjoy running and am a member of the basketball team. Of course, English is like an inseparable friend, and I hope that through communication and sharing, I can benefit others and make more friends.

I’ve been hooked on the mysteries of the galaxy since I was a kid, My favorite books to read are all about space. At the NACIS library, those astronomy books I haven’t seen at home are always my first pick. One of the coolest things that’s happened recently is that I created a special colored planet for each of my teachers and classmates in 3OAK class, and I even named each one after them! Everyone was super pumped when they saw it, and they asked me to explain my design ideas. They even wanted me to print more copies to give them. I’ve also got a ton of wild ideas, so what do I do? I wrote them all down for the NACIS Global Campus Writing competition and created my own planet story. Oh, and I’ve got this really cool plan—I’m designing our 8 third-grade classes to be like a star cluster. Each class will be its own galaxy, and every student will have their very own unique planet. And there will be a Neutron star at it’s center! And yep, I’m in there too!
Yufei Shen
Hi, I am Candice, a vibrant thinker and communicator. I have strong leadership and public speaking skills. Beyond that, I also love to observe and think critically about the world around me, always ready for profound research. To navigate opinion oceans as a student leader, I weaponize interdisciplinary knowledge: turning Steve Jobs’ Zen into “micro-surveys,” using psychology’s “foot-in-the-door” technique to make persuasion, even training ChatGPT as my data assistant. Enthusiasm, dedication and creativity all contribute to my dynamic thinking and communication capabilities.
Yuntao Shan
My name is Shan, I am a student from 9Aspen at NACIS. For this TED talk, I will talk about “metacognition.” Want to share with the audience, the charm of “metacognition.” I am a person who likes to think and get answers from reflection. Also, I always get targets from speech by myself or others.
Yunyi Zhu
I’m Yolanda from 8Willow, My sense of fulfillment is rooted in achieving persistent goals and challenging the status quo strategically.
Persistence is undoubtedly a way of transcending human nature’s constraints. In my eighth year with the NACIS Symphony Orchestra, I have fulfilled my dream of becoming a Principal Cellist. For me, cello is more than just an instrument; it is a sanctuary from daily stress and a medium through which I express my emotions. I’m also a literary enthusiast who is extremely addicted to Chinese Prose Writings and English Fictional Books. Writing has always been an integral part of my daily life which has captured my notions and perceptions over my past academic years. Hence, the completion of my fourth English novel ‘Fighters- Flock Life’ is a tribute to my devotion and tenacity towards literacy. The possession of my essential skills has enriched my experience towards the participation in school communities. I currently hold the position of a department leader in the Secondary Student Council Team where students aim to stimulate others to do their best while apprehending the capabilities of oneself. Cage doors shatter, we rise, ignite; Chasing Dreams, we claim our light.
Zirui Mo
My name is Mo Zirui from 5Oak, I love music and the violin. I am a violinist in our school's advanced orchestra. I am proud of it. I also like reading, street dance, drawing and snowboard. Reading seems to give wings to my imagination, Hip-pop makes me feel my passion and power, drawing makes me feel peaceful, and riding down the mountain makes me feel free. But frankly speaking, my biggest hobby is playing video games, such as Minecraft. I have a dream that I can invent an AI-robot and it can help me to do everything, then I myself can focus on my hobbies. My dad said it’s a wonderful dream, cause fun is the driving force of progress and he expressed all his best wishes to me. So I’m studying hard and hope to realize my dream as soon as possible.
