In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Second Year Student
Linda, born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is currently a high school student at UWC Atlantic in Wales. Passionate about preserving traditional knowledge, she advocates for integrating Ethiopian herbal medicine into modern medicinal practices and aims to pursue a future in medicine.

Osian Offord Beynon

Osian is a current second year student at UWC Atlantic. He is extremely interested in architecture, a subject he wishes to pursue going into the future.

Satya Burgess

Satya is a British Sri Lankan social justice and environmental activist, taking part in protests and initiating movements since the age of 11, in Sri Lanka. Satya is passionate about continuing this work for a more just and equitable future for the world.

Runn is currently a second year student at UWC Atlantic. She is highly interested in the field of biochemistry, and hopes to pursue this in her future studies and career as well!

Zeb Murphy

Second Year Student
Zeb Murphy is a young advocate for positive social development studying at UWC Atlantic in Wales. He has shown interest in learning and studying the world’s diverse cultures from a young age. The guidance of his mother, an anthropologist and NGO impact measurer, played a crucial role in forming his world view through directly involving Zeb in unique international experiences. He aspires to continue his journey in social and human sciences in the next stages of his life.
