Lt. Cdr Bijay Nair (Retd), 43, a passionate runner, is a commissioned Naval
Officer from the Naval Academy. He served for 10 years, relinquishing as LtCdr,
with many medals and accolades. He has been part of Operation Talwaar since
1999 (famously known as the Kargil War) and is decorated with Ops Vijay Star
and Vijay Medal.
In 2003 and 2004, he was awarded a commendation by the Flag Officer Western
Naval Command, and in 2006, he was awarded the prestigious Chief of Naval
Staff Commendation.
Currently, as Associate Vice President, he works for the National Ship
Classification Society in their promoted organization and heads Quality,
Compliance, and Audits. He is an Engineer (PG) in Marine Specialization and
Weapon Controls from the Navy and holds an MBA from JBIMS.
He is a blogger and writer with humor as his forte. He is the author of the
bestseller #TheyInspire, which has sold close to 3,000 copies. It is one of the best
inspirational books featuring stories of ordinary people.
