“I am rooted, but I flow. All gold, flowing that way.” ― Virginia Woolf, The Waves
From the first sign of menstruation in adolescence to the shift into motherhood and the transformative experiences of menopause, every woman's health journey is unique and multi-faceted. Throughout these stages, women navigate a complex landscape of identities and expectations, facing challenges such as stress, anxiety, and self-doubt, while also discovering strength, self-compassion, and resilience.
Yet, despite this resilience, women’s health has long been underfunded and overlooked. Awareness of critical health issues remains limited, and many women hesitate to speak up or seek help, fearing they won’t be taken seriously or facing shame and stigma. Sharing these stories not only deepens our understanding of women’s health but also underscores the urgent need to prioritize it. Addressing these issues is not just about improving individual well-being—it’s about honoring women’s strength, fostering healthier communities, and creating a future where every woman’s health is valued, supported, and free from judgment.
This is an invitation to move forward together, to pay attention to the voices and needs of women in health and care. By sharing their stories, we not only support each woman but also help society recognize and value women's health. It's not just about caring for individuals, but about inspiring the whole community.
TED x SquareMileWomen 2025 has teamed up with a diverse group of cross-disciplinary speakers to share their sparkling experiences and insights on supporting women's physical and mental health, as well as lifelong growth.
