In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

At that time, Nahid Zeraati (the founder of Niavaran Leather) was 20 years old, and the concern of earning money and starting a business had occupied her mind. On the other hand, she did not have the conditions to work outside the house and found herself in a tight spot. But she did not give up on her dream. Until finally, (upon receiving a small gift from her wife), a great idea was sparked in her mind. Nahid Zeraati found that little spark with her heart and soul and nurtured it until it gradually turned into a warm and lively flame. In this way, the first Niavaran leather workshop started working in the corner of their bedroom.
