Theme: TEDxNKC: SHAPING TOMORROW'S NARRATIVE

TEDxNKC is a one of its kind event orchestrated by the students of Nagindas Khandwala College. The event hosted distinguished speakers hailing from diverse backgrounds ranging from advertising to screenwriting. TEDxNKC spanned over the course of two days, beginning with the anticipation and excitement building during the pre-event which took place on 24th June,2024 culminating in a crescendo of energy on the main event day. The primary objective was paying homage and celebrating the change-makers within our community. It focused on cultivating the right audience who actively engaged with the content, allowing ideas to flourish and sparking meaningful conversations.
This year's theme, "Shaping Tomorrow's Narrative", promises to explore the powerful stories and ideas that will define our future. Our speakers will delve into transformative concepts and visionary thinking across a variety of fields, offering fresh perspectives and inspiring action.

Deepak Pareek

Digital Creator and Podcaster

Deepak Pareek is a full-time content creator and a podcaster. He creates storytelling content and runs the podcast The Chill Hour where the idea is to have candid, unfiltered conversations with people from diverse fields. He has hosted Gajraj Rao (actor), Raghav Juyal (actor, dancer), Mohammad Faiz (winner, Superstar Singer 2), Avika Gor (actor), Jamie Lever (comedian, actor), Naveen Kasturia (actor) to name a few. His love for public speaking has led him to speak at TEDx multiple times, Josh Talks, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIM Calcutta, IIT Bombay, SRCC Delhi, FMS Delhi, St. Xavier’s College Calcutta, NMIMS Mumbai, AIESEC Youth Speak Forum, ICAI, ICSI, Lions Clubs International, Rotary Club, etc. His accolades include being on IMPACT 30 Under 30 list, Best Motivational Creator of the Year by Global Startup Summit, and Best Content Marketing Professional by World Marketing Congress, to name a few.

Jugal Popat

Jugal Popat is the Co-Founder of WillJini, India's first and most trusted Succession Services company. Jugal has a deep routed love for Marketing, which started during his journey at NKBMS. Which is why he also chose to compliment what he learnt in classroom, to real life learnings. He interned at Bookmyshow, Uber, Lowe Lintas and Vivo India in various markting and branding roles to explore his interests while completing his graduation. After his graduation, He completed his MBA from SPJain Institute Mumbai, after securing 99.55%ile in CAT. He majored in Marketing and completed an exchange program from Cornell University. Post his MBA, he worked at Swiggy in various strategy roles leading teams of 500+ across India. Today, as a Co-Founder of WillJini - he has a team of 18 people across 4 offices in India including Mumbai, Bangalore and New Delhi.

Krishi Fagwani, Co-Founder & CEO of Thrive, backed by Jubilant FoodWorks and Coca-Cola India, is an ex-Ernst & Young professional and a Grainger College of Engineering graduate from the University of Illinois. Named among GQ’s Most Influential Indians of 2021, Krishi's Thrive has launched a food discovery and ordering app in Mumbai, partnering with 19K restaurants across India, including major chains like Domino’s and Rebel Foods. Thrive aims to focus on food's social and cultural significance, building a platform for foodies to create communities and discover organically, free from deep discounting and sponsored content manipulation.
