In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Arya Koreth

Public Speaker
Arya Koreth is a sophomore who recently joined Coppell High School three months ago. This is Arya's first time in America after almost a decade in Australia and aspires to follow her passion of cinematography. She loves to share her experiences from India and Australia and hopes to encourage other people to come out of their shell of insecurity and feel comfortable speaking about their experiences too. Arya's hobbies include watching movies, writing scripts and mainly hanging out with friends. Join Arya to learn about the impact that a single memory can hold on our lives as she takes on a journey through the power of our memories.

Ashia Agarwal

Social Justice Advocate
Ashia is a junior at Coppell High School! Ashia is a policy debater in school and a computer science enthusiast. She tutors computer science and owns her own Virtual Reality firm. She embraces her role in government by serving on the City of Coppell’s Smart City Board. She is involved with many social justice organizations, including the Eco Club, the Dallas Sierra Club(in which she combines her interest for policy and social justice), National Youth Week USA, and the Meaningful Movies Project. Ashia has a passion for social justice and hopes to combine her environmental interests with technical expertise in the future. In her downtime, Ashia loves listening and exploring music in various styles and languages, especially experimenting with Hindi, Italian, and French. You can also often find her reading classical fiction or obsessively watching F1 races and interviews!

Immanuel George

Debater
Immanuel George, a sophomore at Coppell High School, actively participates in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate team, Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), and the Coppell High School Speakers Association. With a strong interest in law and psychology, Immanuel is dedicated to both the Coppell Debate Club and DECA. Outside of his academic pursuits, he is passionate about calisthenics and long-distance biking. In his free time, Immanuel enjoys playing soccer and immersing himself in novels.

Navya Singh

Artist
Navya is a junior at Coppell High School. At school, she’s a member of and leader in various organizations, including DECA, NAHS, Youth and Government, and Speech and Debate. Navya is a creator at heart, loving to make art, build connections with others, and devise presentations. As she holds titles like speaker, artist, dancer, and more, Navya is guided by one principle — the community and its culture. Going into the future, she wants to play a role in actively making our world safer and fairer, using diversity to thrive rather than divide.

Neha Sikder

Entrepreneur
Neha Sikder, a junior at Coppell High School, is a young entrepreneur, athlete, and advocate for self-expression. For the past two years, she has run Desoire, her gender-inclusive fashion brand, gaining international recognition in magazines and podcasts. Sikder is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of changemakers, encouraging innovation and boundary-breaking.

Nikhita Kumar

Public Speaker
Nikhita Kumar is a sophomore at Coppell High School. She is an active member of the Coppell Speech and Debate team, a competitor of the UIL Literary Critic team, and of course, an orator of the Coppell High Speakers Association. Her passion for public speaking fuels her outside of school activities, where she has founded an organization dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of public speaking called The Oratory Initiative. In her free time, she loves playing the piano, reading classics, and submitting stories to local creative writing competitions.

Prisha Thakur

Public Service Volunteer
Prisha Thakur, a sophomore at Coppell High School, is passionate about bringing not-so-thought-out topics to light. She is on the school’s tennis team and is a member of TSA and Girl Scouts. She enjoys dancing to K-pop songs, watching comedy-action movies, and reading historical-fiction books in her free time. With her dedication to volunteering and community service, she hopes she can make a positive difference in the world!

Rohan Raman

Debater
Rohan is a sophomore at Coppell High School. He enjoys being a part of the Coppell Policy Debate Team and the Coppell High School Speakers Association. Rohan built teamwork and leadership skills through his time competing in DECA, and working on community volunteering projects. During his free time, you can find him rallying on the tennis court or reading about history. In this TEDX talk, Rohan shares some of his creative viewpoints on American business history and how it's shaped the world we see today.

Sadhana Gangadharan

Astronomer
Sadhana Gangadharan is a Sophomore at Coppell High School. She has a passion for math, STEAM, and astronomy which fuel her interests in space exploration, climate change, and beyond. She is a part of Girls Who Code, the school Debate team, and of course, Coppell Student Speaker’s Association. When she’s not working to explore her passions, you can most likely find her at home, snuggled up to a good fantasy read, coming up with stories of her own, or exploring different worlds of art and astronomy alike. She hopes to make the greatest impact she possibly can on the world around her, and impact the stories of others as well.

Salina Shalwani

Salina Shalwani, a sophomore at Coppell High School, is a beacon of positivity, constantly striving to motivate and encourage those around her. When she’s not immersed in her studies, you’ll find her lending a helping hand at her church or brightening the day of children through volunteering. Her love for the outdoors sees her engaging in various activities, from volleyball to picnics in the park. With a creative spark that knows no bounds, Salina eagerly embraces new challenges and opportunities that come her way. Determined to carve out her path, she is committed to becoming the best version of herself, inspiring others along her journey.

Sandhya Karthick

Comedian
For Coppell High School sophomore Sandhya Karthick, a little bit of humor in any conversation can instantly make it more entertaining. As Sandhya pursued her own discovery of the power of humor, she decided to teach others about it as well. In this talk, Vibha discusses the importance of reconnecting with our childhood and adolescent years. With a child-like mindset herself, Vibha expands on the impacts of navigating life like so. From her speech, you can learn how to value and cherish your childhood. Vibha Vedagiri is a sophomore at Coppell High School, and a student athlete as she enjoys playing tennis, piano, and hanging out with her dog! She’s a team player and is always up for a challenge, whether that be on the court or performing on a stage. She’s involved in many organizations such as Student Council, Health Occupation of Students of America (HOSA), Red Cross, Eco Club, National Honors Society, and of course, the Coppell High Speakers Association!
