Neenu Kewlani, born on October 6th in Mumbai, pursued a B.Com degree despite severe health challenges from a polio vaccine at 9 months old, which left her limbs non-functional and caused scoliosis. Supported by her family, she completed her graduation through distance education and explored careers in tutoring, telemarketing, and voice-over work. Joining ADAPT in 1999 marked a pivotal point as she advocated for accessibility for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), securing features in organizations and winning a PIL against BEST for 30 disabled-friendly buses in Mumbai. Featured on NDTV and CNN-IBN, Neenu has received awards like the Rotary Club Sion's vocational excellence award and was named Ms. Wheelchair India in 2013. She now works in her family’s Offset Printing Press business and has been active in Toastmasters International since 2009, showcasing her resilience and commitment to making a positive impact.
