Bhagine: A Dance of Sisterhood

"Bhagine: A Dance of Sisterhood" is an enchanting exploration of sibling emotions through the rich traditions of Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi dance forms. Within this performance, the dancers skillfully portray four distinct emotions. They capture the essence of "srungara," exuding elegance; express unconditional love with "vatsalya"; depict the raw intensity of sisterly conflicts through "raudra," and radiate empathy with "karuna." The traditional Kuchipudi segment, known as "Tarangam," showcases graceful movements on a brass plate, adding a captivating visual element. Through these dance forms, the performance invites audiences on an emotive journey, unveiling the complexities and nuances of the profound bond shared between two sisters.

Dr. K Hemamalini, an accomplished Associate Professor in Hotel Management, holds a PhD in Food & Nutritional Sciences, an MSc in Food Science & Nutrition, a PG Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics, and a BSc in Home Science. Her academic journey includes nine publications in esteemed international journals and presentations at eleven international conferences. Actively engaged in 31 National Conferences and 15 International Conferences, she has also organized an International Conference. With a sponsored project valued at ₹24,67,120 completed and another worth ₹50 lakhs currently underway, Dr. Hemamalini's contributions extend beyond academia. Her expertise spans Food Science and Nutrition, Food Microbiology, Event Management, Travel and Tourism, Human Resource Management, and more.
