IgniTED began with passion; the idea of an event that focuses on the passion that has sparked transformations in our lives and the lives of others. We believe that passion is the driving force behind innovation, creativity, and social impact, the burning fire that motivates individuals and groups to overcome challenges, achieve their aspirations, and make a positive difference in the world. Our theme serves as a reminder that each of us has the potential to make a major impact, and that passion is the key to unlocking this potential.

Alvin Tan

Businessman

Awarded one of the '10 Most Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs' in 2009, Mr. Alvin Kingston Tan is the President and CEO of Fil-Chi Media Productions, Inc. and manages the multi-platform agency CHiNOY TV, an avenue for Chinese-Filipinos to explore and embrace their distinctive culture and heritage. He has weathered countless setbacks and difficulties and now challenges the stereotype of modern success, encouraging his fellow Chinese-Filipinos to use their unique blend of cultural values and capabilities to navigate both success and failure.

Donald Lim

Businessman

Considered one of the founding fathers of digital marketing, Dr. Donald Lim is the current Chief Operating Officer of DITO CME and the Chief Innovation Officer of Udenna Corporation who has served in various leadership capacities in media, advertising, and digital spaces. As a distinguished businessman and multi-talented professional, he is certainly not the target audience for BTS or Twice, but as he has come to discover, such lessons are hard to find and even better to keep.

Gemmalyn Bilgera

English Teacher

A Judenite educator who is beloved by all her students, Mrs. Gemmalyn Bilgera is an SJCS Elementary Basic Education English teacher who knows the power of words very well and wields them even better. Through her own personal experiences and struggles with creative writing, she shares her insights on the importance of words in our lives, especially focusing on the idea of ‘redemption through poetry’.

Kevin Siy

Architect

A Judenite through and through, Mr. Kevin Siy is the mind behind the innovative renovation of Manila Zoo and an SJCS alumnus who holds a degree in architecture from the University of Santo Tomas. His skill and passion gained recognition nationwide after his thesis became a reality, pushing him to discover the power of collective change and showing how one person, no matter who they may be, can create a lasting impact in society.

Kyle Tiu

Student

With interests stretching across a variety of fields from the arts to sports, Kyle Thomas Tiu is a jack of all trades whose inquisitive nature continues to inspire those around him. A student of the SJCS International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and a skilled performer in his own right, he believes that success and satisfaction should be found within oneself – regardless of what others think you should or should not do.

Mika Reins

Model + Actress

A well-known international model and actress, SJCS IBDP alumna Ms. Reins Mika is the first Filipina to win the Elite Model World Final Competition and has graced the covers of prestigious publications like Preview Philippines, L'Officiel, and Vogue. As someone who once strived to become like the models she saw on magazine covers, she did not give up her passion nor succumb to fear despite the many trials and tribulations that she faced throughout her journey.

Sha Nacino

Motivational Speaker

An award-winning author, global keynote speaker, and entrepreneur dedicated to helping people achieve their goals and live a purposeful life, Ms. Sha Nacino inspires and motivates individuals to pursue their passions and positively impact the world. Once a self-proclaimed ‘shy girl,' she shares how she stepped out of her shell and into the spotlight – as well as discovered her own love for public speaking.
