In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Annie Bahar, a Sophomore at Ottawa Hills High School, has spent most of their life moving from one school to another. Annie likes engaging in friendly debate, and having difficult conversations in order to spark interest and solution in the community. In her free time, Annie huddles up with a cup of Cha and watches nostalgic movies from her childhood.

Elizabeth Treat

Leader, Strategist, Friend

Elizabeth Treat, a rising sophomore at Toledo Early College High School, is a confident leader, both in and out of an academic setting. This can be seen in her volunteer work as a counselor-in-training for the local Metroparks and in her achievement of becoming a finalist in her schools' Poetry Out Loud competition. Looking to her future, Elizabeth is looking to find a career in logistics in which she can expand her leadership, strategy, and planning skills.

Jaden Bollinger

Documentary Connoisseur, Violinist, Aspiring diplomat

Jaden Bollinger, a senior at Sylvania Southview High School, is a member of Southview’s varsity Quiz Bowl team, the president of Current Events Club, and serves as a delegate for Clay High Schools Model UN team. He is an active volunteer at the Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity and loves to study history, prehistory, political science, and genealogy in his free time. Jaden will be attending the University of Toledo this fall majoring in History and Political Science with minors in German and Arabic.

Jaden Jefferson

15-year-old Multimedia Journalist

Jaden Jefferson is a 15-year-old multimedia journalist and anchor based in Toledo, Ohio. He covers politics, government, crime, health, community issues, and investigates everything in between. He will soon make his return to national television with an exciting project, so stay tuned!

Max Oberlin

Sailor, Debater, Historian

Max Oberlin is a Freshman at Maumee Valley Country Day School, where he loves a good discussion and debate. He is always lighting up the stage. He's been studying myrmecology since he was 8 years old and believes ants are highly intelligent. He enjoys spending time in Northern Michigan, if you need to find him he will be sailing or downhill skiing, depending on the season.

Noah Guerra

Athlete, Actor

Noah Guerra, a junior at St.Francis De Sales, is very active in his school community. He plays football, participates in clubs, and is in his school musicals. Noah has not planned where he is going but would like to go to the University of Cincinnati or Toledo University.

Ren Berryman

Queer Activist

As a Junior at Ottawa Hills High School, Ren Berryman works with his school to improve the atmosphere for all minority students, especially queer students. He leads his school's Gender and Sexuality Alliance and hopes to go into the new field of artificial intelligence as a career. With hopes of helping other trans youth who weren't as fortunate as him, Ren wants to raise awareness with the help of technology.

Samuel Challu, who generally goes by Sam, is a sophomore at Bowling Green High School who loves strategizing for college and getting the most out of his education and experience throughout high school. He also enjoys participating in several activities, such as piano, Spanish Club, Model United Nations, the Gay Straight Alliance, and Boys Cross Country. Sam has two cats, with whom he loves to be around, and often enjoys going to downtown Bowling Green with the company of his friends after school, often to get coffee, because Sam does not get nearly enough sleep.

Savith Vijendra, junior at Ottawa Hills High School, is a student involved in countless activities both in his school and community. Primarily, Savith is fascinated with entrepreneurship, having co-founded a company, but he also is an avid tennis player and works with tutoring kids both in his school and across the globe.

Zara Sediqe

Independent, Driven, Advocate

Zara Sediqe is a sophomore at Ottawa Hills High School, she is an officer in a challenge crew (her school's mental health awareness program.) She is an advocate for minority females getting into the modeling industry. In her free time Zara is active on social media, she connects with other like minded individuals to bring awareness and change to the “beauty standard.”
